Support Labor Unions this Halloween

Halloween is a great holiday, and a recent People’s World post gives one suggestion for supporting union labor this time around: buy candy made by union workers.

UnionMade provides a list of products made by members of the Bakery, Confectionery, Tobacco Workers and Grain Millers International Union (BCTGM); snack foods by members of the United Food and Commercial Workers (UFCW); or fruit and nuts from members of the United Farm Workers of America (UFW). Some of the better-known treats include Jelly Bellies, M&Ms, Clark bar, Sweethearts, Hershey Special Dark bars, Hershey Milk with Almond bars, Kit Kat bars, Snickers, Hershey Symphony bar with Toffee and Red Vines.

Information about costumes has been a bit harder to come by. Handmade costumes for Halloween at this time may be best. When it comes to snacks, consider supporting union workers this year.
